Wednesday Wanderlust for a Ski Trip

This week for our Wednesday Wanderlust I am embracing the cold weather we have been having here in Australia and thinking about where in the world I would love to go for a ski holiday.
My Top 5 Ski Destinations
1. Zermatt, Switzerland

2. Aspen, Colorado

3. Niseko, Japan
Known for its consistent light powder that falls fresh most days. You can go night skiing through the forest and easily follow up with a dip in the hot springs and some sushi. Image: European Snow Sport
4. Whistler, British Columbia
A massive ski resort in North America that while expensive and crowded it has the most snow and the most runs. Image: Whistler
5. Wanaka, New Zealand
Closer to home, Wanaka has Lord of the Rings alpine scenery surrounding you, so you can pretend that you are escaping the orcs as you ski down the mountain sides. Image: Katq88
The only thing is, I’m not a very good skier and would more than likely end up in the trees somewhere, or worse. It is no secret that I am a huge advocate that if you can’t afford travel insurance you can’t afford to travel.
