Camping Puzzle
My love of camping springs from family holidays as a kid. There were 6 in my family, which made holidays expensive, unless you went camping! I have such fond memories of those holidays. All we needed was a tent and a spot near the beach. And then I grew up and while my love for camping remained I quickly realised it takes more than a tent and a top spot to make a holiday. You actually need a lot of stuff to make it a successful trip. Who knew a tin of soup could be so soul crushing, but when you’ve caught no fish, are dirty, hungry and finally got the fire started and there is no can opener, you can see how.
I love camping and I love lists so of course I have a special list for packing up ready to go camping. We sometimes go at the drop of a hat so it is great to have my checklist on hand so I can quickly run through and see if I have grabbed everything we need.
I also have a big plastic tub full of all our camping bits and bobs so most of it I don’t actually have to round up from all corners of the house. This does mean having doubles of some things or buying it exclusively for camping but that’s ok. We bought a couple of mugs at a small discount store on our last trip and these are reserved for our camping trips. So daggy they’re cool.
The next challenge is jigsaw puzzling it all into the car. This isn’t the hardest part; that comes in getting it all back into the car to come back home.
But I still love camping.
